A beautiful vintage English pottery casserole with a rich, warm brown glaze and wonderfully simple, traditional form.

Made by Bretby Pottery, this substantial lidded dish has lovely rounded proportions, integrated side handles and a beautifully fitted domed lid with a small turned knob. The deep chestnut-brown glaze has a gorgeous variation in tone and sheen that gives the piece plenty of character.

A lovely piece for a country kitchen, whether used for serving, displayed on open shelving or simply enjoyed as part of a collection of vintage kitchenware.
